K. Dean Zipse signs on as Vice President, Marketing & Business Development
Big Eagle are pleased to announce the hiring of K. Dean Zipse as Vice President, Marketing & Business Development.
Dean is a Graduate Engineer, receiving a B.Sc., Petroleum Eng. from New Mexico Tech (Socorro, NM) in 1990. He had previously graduated from SAIT (Calgary, AB) with a Petroleum Technology Diploma in 1987.
After graduation Dean worked with a major operator in the Gulf of Mexico. Since that time, Dean has focused his career in the energy services industry. There, Dean has had success in Operations, Sales and senior Management/Ownership roles for Engineering, Drilling, Completions and most recently Pipeline related service companies throughout North America. Dean has a tremendous ability to bring new and innovative technologies to the market. He has considerable experience in team building, managing operations and business development. He recently relocated his family back to Alberta from Houston, TX.
He is looking forward to an exciting future with Big Eagle. Dean notes “I have known about and worked with Big Eagle Services in the past. There is a strong culture at Big Eagle and I see there is tremendous opportunity for us to get our fluid handling and service expertise out into the industry.”

Russ Domville Resigns As EVP of Business Development, Acquisitions, Mergers and Branding
Big Eagle Services are saddened to announce the resignation of Russ Domville. Russ joined Big Eagle late in 2010 and has been an integral part of the executive management team. His knowledge of the organization and the industry was a great asset. Big Eagle thanks him for his service and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

Big Eagle Services Scores 93% on COR Audit
Big Eagle Services recently completed a Certificate of Recognition audit conducted by one of the top five audit firms in Alberta. As this firm audits to the highest possible standards, the auditor was benchmarking Big Eagle against some of the leading companies in Alberta. The results of the audit were received today and Big Eagle is pleased to announce that we achieved a very successful score of 93%.
Over the previous two weeks the auditor visited 12 work sites and conducted 59 interviews. Outside of the audit score, the auditor remarked on a very encouraging measure of the company’s growth and significant culture change. The auditor made note that this is one of the first times that she has completed all of the interviews and received the same very positive view on company policies, practices and culture from 100 percent of those interviewed. She said it was quite amazing that the majority of those interviewed without any prompting could tell you that they have participated in a Stop & Talk card action. This is a very positive reflection on Big Eagle’s workers and their ownership of the company’s safety driven culture.
The audit results are particularly impressive as Big Eagle scored 100% in 9 areas.
The auditor communicated very strongly to the management team that Big Eagle has achieved a score she rarely sees other companies achieve and places Big Eagle amongst the top 10% of companies that they audit.
Upon reviewing the results, Brian Bertsch, the company’s Corporate HSE Manager, commented that “This is a job well done by all levels at Big Eagle and definitely something to be proud of. This audit is very telling of the overall direction that we are going as a company. Keep up the good work!”

Tom Parenteau promoted to PSL Manager
Big Eagle Services are pleased to announce that Tom Parenteau has been promoted to and accepted the position of PSL (Product and Service Line) Manager for drilling vac and water, Canada. Tom joined Big Eagle Services in 2003, bringing 20 years of vac and water experience to the team (from Klingers Oilfield and Flint Energy Services).
